When a suburban New Jersey housewife starts craving excitement in her life, she begins to live vicariously through a free-spirited woman named Susan (Madonna) she reads about in a newspaper column.

Who's That Girl is one of Madonna's notable '80s roles. She plays Nikki Flynn, a wild blonde bombshell recently released from prison after being falsely accused of murdering her boyfriend. On her journey, she meets a lawyer (Griffin Dune) who promises to help her to clear her name.

Bloodhound or Broadway&nbsp;is a period comedy musical detailing an eventful New Year's Eve night in 1928. The star-studded film features, of course, Madonna, Jennifer Grey, and Matt Dillon. Grey and Madonna, who play theatric showgirls, also perform a duet in the film.

Based on the 1930s comic strips, the crime comedy film tells the story of detective Dick Tracy's action-packed conflicts and difficult romances. Madonna takes on the role of one of the love interests named Breathless Mahoney, a lounge singer and girlfriend to a well-known mobster in the film.

A League of Their Own tells the story fo an all-female baseball team formed during World War II. While all the athletic men were being drafted and leaving a shortage of players, Major League Baseball was on the verge of being shut down. Madonna took on the role of Mae Mordabito, #5 on the women's team. The comedy film will also be getting a modern adaptation later this August on Amazon Prime Video.

'A League of Their Own' (1992)

Directed by Quentin Tarantino, Four Rooms is a dark comedy detailing four interlocking instances taking place in a fading hotel on New Year's Eve. The songstress played Elspeth, a seductive witch amongst her coven in the film.

Based on the album and musical&nbsp;Evita, the pop icon starred as its lead, Evita Peron, in this 1996 film adaptation. The film tells the story of how Argentinian actress Evita rose to fame. Through a series of flashbacks, we see Madonna like never before.

In the twentieth film in the James Bond franchise, Madonna makes a quick cameo as a fencing instructor named Verity. Along with her appearance in the movie, she also co-wrote and sang the title track for the film.
