Fourth <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">edition of</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Artycapucines</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">brought together six names in design and the arts signing Louis Vuitton bags that reflect their work and personalities.</span></em></p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span><a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/portraits/rolf-blakstad-ibiza-architect-portrait" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Architect</a> Peter Marino has a mantra: Every item should be unique and well-balanced. It is the maxim that governs both the works of art by names like Viktor Muniz and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/jean-michel-basquiat-career-history" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Basquiat</a> that make up his private collection and the projects he creates for clients on four continents. Among them, the long-standing partnership with <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/louis-vuitton-mens-show-autumn-winter-2023-24-collection-photo-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton</a> has been signed, designing architectural projects for the French brand's stores alone or in partnership with other equally powerful names. In 2021, he planned with the Japanese architect Jun Aoki to renovate</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">the address in Ginza, which gained a facade in curved glass. In 2019, together with Frank Gehry, he designed the space for Seoul, with a tortuous glass facade over a white cube. The invitation he received at the end of last year may even be different, but it equally reverberates his personal universe.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>At 73 years old (which he doesn't look like) and always dressed in black leather like a motorcyclist, Marino was one of the six artists invited to the fourth chapter of the Artycapucines</span> <span>project</span> <span>. These materials and the color were chosen to customize the bag created</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">in 2013 and which refers to the first address of Louis Vuitton, in 1854. To be used or displayed as a work, his creation is, at the same time, practical and robust. It was inspired by a medieval box he saw in a 14th-century building in Venice. His attention was drawn to the heavy handles and locking mechanism. Putting it all together, your Capucines is made of leather straps held together by 315 studs; an innovative clasp allows the flap of the bag to be attached to the metal bar borrowed from the small trunk, topped off with an enamelled LV flower medal. The handle is in the form of a whip and the interior is also in leather.</span></p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>In addition to Marino, the list for the 2022 stage of</span> <span>Artycapucines</span> <span>also featured creations by Park Seo-bo, considered the father of modern Korean art; the Swiss Ugo Rondinone, famous for his mastery of different media, and the award-winning French artist Daniel Buren. From the new generation came the Parisian painter Am&eacute;lie Bertrand and the American sculptor Kennedy Yanko.</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Each bag is limited to 200 units, and Buren's creation can be found in 50 units of each color.</span></p>

        <p style="text-align: justify;"><span>Seo-bo sought subsidies in the &Eacute;criture series, from 2016, and relied on the talent of her grandson, Park Jifan, to create the tactile texture with 3D rubber injection on the leather. The final finish is done in hand-painted red patina. The lining reproduces the back of the original painting. The handle mounted on the metal frame is made of polished walnut. Rondinone, on the other hand, made his</span> <span>Artycapucines</span> <span>a happy color divided between the harlequin pattern, which required around 15,000 manually embroidered beads and more than 100 hours of work, and the handle in translucent resin shaped like a rainbow that, just like the clown , is a recurring theme in his work. Also mirroring his work, Buren's creation is a colorful trapeze finished with half-circle resin handles that can be removed. Am&eacute;lie's bag is perfect for a night out. Inspired by the atmosphere</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">of summer nightlife, it is the first</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">Artycapucines</span> <span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">to glow in the dark, which was possible with the use of an innovative pigment. Following this line of thought, the artist chose a turquoise resin handle, tile lines, as well as a floral and chain sculpture &ndash; which gained iridescence thanks to the &ldquo;scarabeo&rdquo; plating process, which also appears on the Monogram logo and flower brooch &ndash; , making links with their works. On the handle, the stitching is phosphorescent.</span></p>

To achieve this result, the body of the bag was first 3D printed. The mold served to position the leather, which was then hardened. Then came the effects of rust and wear, which the craftsmen were able to obtain with a patina made with golden pigment, also emphasizing the folds in the leather. The look is industrial and practical because the handle, charms and Yanko signature can be removed.</span><br /><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;"></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>The French fashion house&#39;s commitment to the arts began nearly a century ago, when Gaston-Louis Vuitton, grandson of the Maison&#39;s founder, began hiring artists to collaborate with the Maison on advertisements and perfume bottles.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"> <span>That commitment grew stronger in 1988, when the brand forged ties with the biggest names in modern art and design, including Sol LeWitt, James Rosenquist, Cesar and Olafur Eliasson.
