As the Spanish edition of her bestselling&nbsp;book&nbsp;MANIFEST launches this week, L&rsquo;OFFICIEL IBIZA chats exclusively to publishing sensation Roxie Nafousi about grounding, gratitude and why Ibiza holds a special place in her heart.

Before she discovered the power of manifesting, Roxie Nafousi &ndash; now a best-selling&nbsp;author and self-development coach &ndash; lived a very different life. A self-confessed former social butterfly, she had&nbsp;been partying&nbsp;in Ibiza since she was 17. Nafousi&rsquo;s life &ndash; while outrageously glamourous on the outside - was a whirlwind of drinking, drugs and self-destruction. &lsquo;I was smoking 20 cigarettes a day, in toxic relationships, and my career was floundering. I felt absolutely unmotivated and with no clear sense of direction,' she admits. Nafousi had dabbled in retreats, heading off to get &lsquo;fixed&rsquo; whenever things got bad. &lsquo;I knew there was sense in it all somewhere&rsquo;, she smiles. 'It&rsquo;s just that nothing had stuck for me personally yet.&rsquo; When a friend suggested she listen to a manifesting podcast, Nafousi was understandably sceptical, thinking the practice was for hippies and spiritual junkies. &lsquo;I was wrong. So wrong! And I think that&rsquo;s why my book has resonated with so many people, because I explain manifesting in a way that is really practical and accessible and debunks the idea that it is just all woo-woo or some magical concept. In fact, I think its foundations are not in spirituality at all, but in science, wisdom, psychology and philosophy.&rsquo; To the layman, manifesting sounds deceptively simple. Happily,&nbsp;that&rsquo;s what Nafousi is here to confirm.

&lsquo;Manifesting is simply the ability to use the power of our minds to change and create the reality we experience. It is a self-development practice, and I wholly believe it empowers and transforms the lives of anyone who practices it.&rsquo; She goes on, &lsquo;the way we think, behave and respond to our experience all matters and contributes to what we attract into our lives. Earlier this year, Nafousi held a series of rooftop workshops at <a href="https://www.nobuhotelibizabay.com/">Nobu Ibiza Bay</a> to mark the beginning of summer solstice. The sessions included specific meditations and visualisations focused on transcending comfort zones. Why did she choose Ibiza over, say Mykonos? &lsquo;Ibiza holds a very special place in my heart, I&rsquo;ve been every year since I was 17. It&rsquo;s seen me through my best and my worst of times and it&rsquo;s been a place where I&rsquo;ve reflected, connected and expanded my own sense of self.&nbsp;What better place to teach manifesting than on such a magical island with such powerful energy?&rsquo;
