Saturday's New Moon in Libra would usually be a perfect time for setting intentions and taking part in rituals that welcome in the new 28-day lunar cycle.&nbsp;But this was not your average New Moon, says Alica Orre.&nbsp;

This was an incredibly powerful <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/how-to-navigate-eclipse-season-and-launch-yourself-into-greatness" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lunar Eclipse</a>. The first of two eclipses this month. The second taking place at the Taurus Full Moon on October 28th. Eclipses usually come in pairs twice a year: One Solar and a Lunar Eclipse two weeks apart. We are now officially in the two-week in-between period, also known as Eclipse Season.
Eclipses create a disruptive atmospheric charge. They are pivot points that bring permanent change, &lsquo;eclipsing&rsquo; things from our lives for good.&nbsp;They bring fated happenings. Life feels super hectic and overwhelming. There&rsquo;s an increase in big life events, we can experience burn out, brain fogginess and emotional confusion. Not just during the in-between two week period but for the month running up to and after the eclipses take place.
What makes this particular Eclipse Season spicier is the Pluto square. This small and mighty planet is at a challenging aspect to the eclipse points. Pluto represents power, death, rebirth and secrets. Wherever it goes it excavates the dark and ugly parts of human existence to be examined and healed. It&rsquo;s this process that sets us free. What's been kept in the dark can no longer hold power over us. Instead, it is alchemised to become our greatest internal power source. Life is never the same after an eclipse. With karmic planet Pluto involved it will be transformational. While all this may sound like fear mongering, eclipses are actually magical portals that redirect us onto our soul path, aligning us with the life we really desire under the &acute;should dos&acute; and societal programming.
If someone was to hand you a powerful magic wand with one wish, would you take it? That&rsquo;s what the Eclipse Season is. The <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/october-astrology-discovering-inner-harmony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">October</a> eclipses take place in the Venus ruled signs of Libra and Taurus. Venus is the planet of value, harmony, love and how we relate. While we may be reviewing our relationships with others, ultimately these eclipses invite us to explore our relationship with ourselves as this determines how we relate with life itself. As above, so below, as within, so without, so the Universe.
We are learning healthier boundaries and balance, how to trust ourselves more deeply and put our needs first in a way that pleases everyone. This requires taking accountability for our own <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/soul-spirituality/best-healing-therapy-for-four-zodia-elements">healing</a>. It means doing the shadow work and reparenting our inner child. We all have one and they will most likely be out in force over the coming weeks!&nbsp;We will be shown where we have gotten too comfortable and edged into unfamiliar territory. A new direction. A new way of being and feeling. The unknown can be a scary place. It is human nature to want to repeat what we know because it feels safe even when it is not good for us.
This is the battle between our ego wants (staying safe and small) versus our soul evolution.

7 Survival Hacks for Eclipse Season

 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">If there is something you know that needs to change in your life (like a self-sabotaging habit) now is the time to take the steps to release it. Eclipses remove things from our lives for good. By working with the eclipses intentionally, results can be quicker and easier. </li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Become a curious observer of how you are feeling and what situations are happening in your life right now. Are you feeling angry, scared, unloved? Explore your emotions and what this is really about (hint: it&rsquo;s probably rooted in past events and your learned experience of life, not just something taking place in your life right now). </li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Eclipses are a practice in surrender and trust. Practice leaning into the space of not knowing what lies ahead. There are infinite possibilities available for us, not just the ones we limit ourselves by. Instead of thinking &lsquo;what is the worst that can happen?&rsquo; practising the opposite; &lsquo;what is the best that can happen?&rsquo; When we believe in the positive it has a greater chance of taking place, especially during the powerful Eclipse Season. </li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Chances are, you know what is (or needs) to be eclipsed from your life. Even if it&rsquo;s a deeply buried hunch. This is your intuition communicating to you. We can ignore, resist or attempt to control it. Our ego is no match against the power of our soul desires and the transformative eclipses. The more we resist, the more painful the path. If you know what is being eclipsed, begin taking the steps to release it now with the assistance of the universal energy that is presenting. Seek help from a professional if you need the extra support and guidance. </li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Double down on self-care practices. Get into nature every day, swim in the clear crystal waters of Ibiza, move your body through dance or exercise, try breathwork, EFT tapping and ice baths. Use daily meditations, enjoy grounding foods, express through journaling, and get plenty of sleep. Fully feel your emotions and safely let them move through you. Have a good, gut-wrenching cry! We all have the tools and knowledge of what is nurturing for our soul. Ibiza has an abundance of support available to nourish you. </li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">In our desire for control and with the chaotic atmosphere we may be tempted to make huge life changing decisions and react emotionally without rational thought. When we are stressed and triggered, the logical thinking process in our brain is literally cut off. This is not a time for big decisions. It is a time to pause, reflect and breathe deeply and focus on yourself (see point 3 above). Let the dust settle, ideally after both the eclipses have taken place. </li>
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Remember that everyone will be impacted by the eclipses in some way. The normal energetic communication that is exchanged between the Sun, Moon and Earth is being momentarily disrupted. Nothing on Earth can escape it. Have patience with yourself and everybody else. We are navigating big shifts that create confusion, chaos and overwhelm. It is also just a moment in time with great potential for us to heal ourselves and in doing so heal others if we approach these times with forgiveness, humility and grace.</li>
