A seafront hotel in Es Canar, on the quieter side of the island, where the days are built around water and the evenings around fire.

Half an hour from the airport, past Santa Eulària, the road narrows into pine and arrives at Es Canar. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/blessibizacalanova/">BLESS Ibiza Cala Nova</a> sits on the sand at Cala Nova, low against the hill, on the coast that gets the mornings. The beach still takes a swell. The bay stays open. The rooms
Most look at the sea, from the bedroom or from a terrace, and that is the whole proposition: the first thing in the room each day is the water and the horizon. Marble, wood, bathrooms cut from Ibizan stone. The palette runs black, white and pale pink, a Coco Chanel reference the hotel carries through every room and never overplays.

The spa
Heat, then cold water, then time. Treatments are unhurried and the staff know when not to talk. Beyond it, the wellbeing programme moves outdoors — yoga under the pines, fitness in open air, the sea a few steps away for anyone whose appetite for structure runs out.

Five kitchens
La Calita works at sea level. Paella, the day's catch, lunches that are difficult to end.
Llum runs the pool club through the afternoon. <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/a-day-of-gastronomy-at-bless-ibiza-cala-nova">Mediterranean plates</a> and cocktails arrive between swims, music sits low enough to talk over, and the whole thing holds its shape until evening without ever turning into a party. It is the easiest place in the hotel to lose four hours.
EPIC takes the roof and the infinity pool, turning from daytime plates to fusion and mixology as the light goes.
Lumbre cooks the other Ibiza, the rural one. Everything passes through charcoal and flame — sobrasada croquettes, slipper lobster, wagyu picanha — drawn from an island of terraced almond and olive groves that sits underneath the famous one.
Tora is the one with a deadline. An omakase counter here for a single season, where the chef decides and you follow: a sequence of small courses built on Japanese technique and Spanish produce, served in order, at the pace he sets. No menu to read, no choices to make. When the season closes, it goes.
Lumbre also hosts&nbsp;Hosted By. One menu, one night, built around an exhibition or a show.

Nothing here is trying to be anywhere else on the island.

By midnight the pool lights are on and the beach has gone dark, and the only thing still audible over the music from the roof is the water.
