Fashion is a journey, and for the women's Autumn Winter 2025-2026 collection, Louis Vuitton transforms the catwalk into a train station, a place of departures and returns.

Nicolas Ghesquière , artistic director of women&#39;s collections at Louis Vuitton , chose L&#39;Étoile du Nord , a secret and evocative space next to the Gare du Nord in Paris, to evoke the poetry of the train journey. &quot;The initial idea was the train station. Its evocative power. The many scenes it brings to mind, from Some Like It Hot to 2046 , from Casablanca to Snowpiercer , to Agatha Christie&#39;s Murder on the Orient Express ,&quot; Ghesquière tells us. The station hall thus becomes the stage for a timeless tale, made of hugs, farewells, discoveries and new adventures.

The link between Louis Vuitton and the world of travel is essential to understanding the identity of the French fashion house. It all began in 1854, when Louis Vuitton opened his first atelier in Paris, on Rue Neuve-des-Capucines, with the intention of revolutionizing the world of luggage. Vuitton, who had trained as an apprentice to a trunk maker, sensed that travel was changing: with the development of the railways, luggage had to adapt to new needs of practicality, lightness and resistance.

The collection translates these emotions into clothes that blend nostalgia and modernity. Light lines and structured volumes meet in silhouettes that evoke the retro elegance of travellers of yesteryear, while technical fabrics and bold details project the House's heritage into the future. The iconic travel bags evolve with the introduction of Express , a new model inspired by the Keepall model, characterized by delicate colors and a soft, fluid shape.

Another homage to the dimension of travel comes from the collaboration with Kraftwerk, pioneers of electronic music, whose album Trans-Europe Express was the inspiration for the entire collection. “It was a natural choice. Their music, their imagery, the futuristic vision they always conveyed... And then the name of the album itself, a tribute to European travellers,” explains Ghesquière. The album cover appears on clothes and accessories, transforming each look into a tribute to the culture of travel. The result is a collection that celebrates movement, nostalgia and innovation, embodying the essence of Louis Vuitton: luxury as an experience, elegance as an adventure.
