Dior conquers the Giza desert with the men&#39;s autumn winter 2023 fashion show conceived by Kim Jones.

 &ldquo;My interest in ancient Egypt is in the stars and the sky. It's the allure of the old world and the parallels to what we see today, what we inherited from them and what we're still learning from the past,&rdquo; explained creative director <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/kim-jones-and-marc-jacobs-join-hands-for-fendi-baguette-s-25th-anniversary-in-new" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kim Jones</a> , who presented <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/hommes/dior-cactus-jack-kim-jones-prints-invade-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior Men 's Fall Winter 2023 menswear collection</a> in magical desert scenery of Giza between the pyramids of Cairo. The central reference is the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/dior-30-montaigne-opens-its-doors-to-an-art-exhibition" target="_blank" rel="noopener">"lucky star" inspiration of Monsieur Christian Dior</a> and literal object found in Rue Du Faubourg Saint-Honor&eacute; which had convinced him to found the fashion house: &laquo;In this sense it is linked to Christian Dior and his fascination for the symbols and superstitions that recur in his life and work, one of which is the star. In both the collection and the exhibition is the idea of "being guided by the stars" and what this can entail in many ways. It is about the way in which the past shapes the future or an idea of the future that comes from the past&raquo;.

From technical jacquard transparencies that reveal rigorous foundations in tailoring and outerwear, to wool demi-kilts inspired by the founder's Bonne Fortune dress.
