The Christian Dior Museum explores the founding floral inspiration of the House of Dior.

Until November 2, 2025, the Christian Dior Museum in Granville opens its doors to a new masterful exhibition: Dior, Enchanting Gardens . Following the triumph of Christian Dior, Visionary Couturier , this unprecedented retrospective celebrates the intimate bond between Monsieur Dior and nature , the common thread running through all his work and the very essence of the House's identity.

At the roots of inspiration: Granville, cradle of a gardener of the soul

It was in Granville, in the verdant park of the Villa Les Rhumbs, now the museum&#39;s headquarters, that the young Christian Dior &#39;s first creative impulses took shape. Among the pine trees overlooking the sea, he cultivated a deep love for the plant world, passed down by his mother. &quot;Having inherited my mother&#39;s passion for flowers, I particularly enjoyed the company of plants and gardeners,&quot; he later confided. This fertile ground would give rise not only to a genius couturier, but also to a visionary perfumer.

From his first fashion show in 1947, <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/dior-womens-fashion-show-autumn-2025-kyoto-collection-photos-looks-guests-video" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior</a> imposed his style with the Corolle line, a true homage to the flower in the very cut of the dresses. The exhibition offers an immersive journey that intertwines haute couture, precious archives and iconic scented creations. From Diorama , a delicate blend of fresh flowers and ylang-ylang, to Diorissimo , a hymn to lily of the valley, and Eau de Cologne Fraîche , the couturier&#39;s personal signature, each fragrance tells the story of a facet of his inner garden.

Dior, Enchanting Gardens doesn&#39;t stop at the past. The exhibition also explores how Christian Dior &#39;s successors perpetuate and reinvent this founding passion. Maria Grazia Chiuri, Francis Kurkdjian, Stephen Jones, Victoire de Castellane, Cordelia de Castellane, Peter Philips… All, in their own way, infuse their creations with the poetic essence of the gardens so dear to Dior .
