The Duke of Sussex reportedly never received an invitation to his father's upcoming birthday party.

Despite the speculation that the British royal family is working to make amends, recent news says the contrary. However, in response to the claim, Harry's spokesperson told <a href="https://themessenger.com/entertainment/prince-harry-king-charles-75th-birthday" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">the Messenger</a> that he never received an invite in the first place.
&ldquo;In response to UK media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty&rsquo;s upcoming birthday,&rdquo; the spokesperson said. &ldquo;It is disappointing the Sunday Times has misreported this story."
Additionally, a royal source told The Messenger that Buckingham Palace &ldquo;never reached out&rdquo; to Harry.

While Prince Harry &ndash; and we can only assume <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/meghan-markle-prince-harry-relationship-timeline-dating-royal-wedding-kids" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meghan Markle</a> as well &mdash; will not be at the birthday celebration, Charles will still have a "party with his closest family and friends at Clarence House." It is set to take place on November 14.
According to The Sunday Times, it appears only King Charles will allegedly miss Prince Harry's presence (though this statement is now up in the air if it's confirmed Harry never received an invite to begin with).
"The family has firmly shut the door on them for the time being, because of the documentary and the book," an inside source shared. "Before those, there was always the hope that some things might be mended. The King will be faster to forgive than the family because Harry is his son, but the door is still more shut than ajar at the moment."
Charles and Harry have reportedly not "seen or spoken to each other in person since last September" and the Duke of Sussex has "no plans to return to the UK any time soon" according to the Times.
"There is the sense of a cooling-off period from the family that is underway after the aftershocks of the book and the interviews," an alleged friend of Charles shared. "But that doesn&rsquo;t change the King&rsquo;s love for his son. He&rsquo;ll never not invite his son to a family gathering, because that&rsquo;s not who he is."

The book in question is none other than Prince Harry's bombshell memoir Spare, in which he vividly dived into his life in the royal family. From Prince William's disapproval of Markle to William and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/kate-middleton-electric-blue-coronation-scotland-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kate Middleton</a> encouraging Harry to wear a Nazi costume, the Duke of Sussex held nothing back &mdash; effectively distancing himself from his family even more.&nbsp;
This comes after the release of the Netflix docuseries Harry &amp; Meghan, which was a tell-all account by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sharing to the world their story on their own terms. The series covered their love story, starting with their first meeting to their wedding to their eventual exit from royal duties.
Since stepping down from being active royal members &mdash; which has been infamously become known as the "Megxit" &mdash; Harry and Markle currently reside in California with their two children Archie and Lilibet.
