Earlier today, Queen Elizabeth passed away at age 96, surrounded by family at her Scottish residence, Balmoral Castle.

After 70 years on the throne, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II has died at 96 years old.

Since then, she has worked with 14 prime ministers in her over six decades on the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/the-crown-filming-locations-buckingham-palace-netflix" target="_blank" rel="noopener">throne</a>, all while carrying out service, engagements, overseas visits, and raising a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-sister-royal-family-secrets" target="_blank" rel="noopener">family</a>. She's also shared her <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/best-royal-family-pregnancy-announcements" target="_blank" rel="noopener">royal</a> duties with her husband of 73 years Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away in 2021 at 99 years old, and her four children, Charles, Prince of Wales; <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/royal-trends-runway-the-crown-bridgerton-style-influence" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Princess</a> Anne; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Sussex; as well as her grandchildren, including Prince William and Prince Harry.&nbsp;
