Raised in a family where refinement was second nature, she didn&rsquo;t simply fall into fashion &ndash; she inherited it like a sacred rite.

She found the perfect house, and she believed in it so much that she even took my grandmother and me to Lourdes to pray for it to come true. But she passed away before her wish could be fulfilled.
