Born in the early 1980s, the British singer-songwriter spent her early years interested in the arts performing with jazz groups as a teenager. After graduating from the prestigious BRIT School, Winehouse made her musical debut with the critically acclaimed 2003 album, Frank. Subsequently, after engaging in a series of tumultuous romances, in particular a fevered relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil, Winehouse developed a number of infamous heartbreak songs, many of which composed her next album, Back to Black, which catapulted Winehouse to international success.&nbsp;

In 2008, Back to Black became the world&rsquo;s seventh-best-selling album and it cemented Winehouse&rsquo;s lasting musical legacy. Tragically, at age 27, Winehouse&rsquo;s life and musical career ended on July 23, 2011, in London, England as a result of alcohol poisoning.&nbsp;
