Uranus is the unconventional planet of unrest and rebellion. Where we find Uranus, we reject norms and resist the status quo.

We can observe its influence in our own natal astrology by house and sign as the areas in life where we are never satisfied.
Uranus influences us to think outside the box, provoking deeper feelings of dissatisfaction when faced with the statement &ldquo;That's just how things are.&rdquo; Uranus is here to prove that statement is flawed AF.
It&rsquo;s also one of our Midlife Crisis planets. Around age 40, transiting Uranus, which has an 84 year orbit, opposes Uranus in our birth chart causing The Uranus Opposition. More commonly known as; The Midlife Crisis.
I remember and enjoyed my own very well. 10 years ago, I broke free from my conventional married life in London, grabbed my laptop and moved to <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/five-ibiza-retreats-to-book-now-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ibiza</a> as a digital nomad. Quickly rediscovering my love of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/fifty-years-of-pacha" target="_blank" rel="noopener">club culture</a> that had started in my teens long before the Acid House movement of 1989.&nbsp;
Uranus lets us believe in something different. It provokes and niggles, sometimes ushering in shocking or out of character behaviors.
Our early 40s are often felt as a time when we question the choices we have made and the direction of our lives.
We are compelled to make changes to our life and appearance that may have been too absurd before. We break away from familiar patterns. We are impulsive, like a rebellious teen. Sometimes re-living the youth we previously missed out on. Our loved ones looking on in surprise at our &lsquo;crazy&rsquo; antics.
While this time can be exciting, liberating and empowering, acting on unwise decisions during this transit permanently disrupts our lives and those of others. If we use this energy positively, however, it can influence us to expand beyond our limits and step further into our authenticity and a deeply felt sense of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/alma-desnudo-a-new-photography-book-uncovers-ibiza-s-naked-soul" target="_blank" rel="noopener">freedom</a> and purpose.
Uranus represents the future and innovation. It has a lightning fast quality, on then off - similar to electricity, which has always been associated with the planet. In fact, there were advances being made in the use of electricity around the same time that the planet was discovered. It&rsquo;s discovery itself, an innovation. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Saturn are all visible with the naked eye. Uranus is the first planet that is not. A telescope was required - another recent invention as if allowing us to peer into an unpredictable future.
Even its name, Uranus, was controversial causing disagreements about what the rebellious planet should be called, taking many years for its name to be fully accepted.
This is an example of how the symbology of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/ibiza/astrology-overview-what-s-in-store-for-us-in-2024-mercury-retrogrades-eclipses" target="_blank" rel="noopener">astrology</a> is linked with the collective consciousness and how one influences the other. As above, so below.
This weekend, Uranus stationed direct after a 5 month retrograde.&nbsp;
When a planet stations retrograde or direct the energy whips up and amplifies, causing an increase in disruption and unexpected surprises.
With Uranus being the unpredictable planet we may have experienced a few shocks last weekend and into this week, with an uneasy frustrated feeling of wanting to break free, even if unsure from what. It can also present as anxiety or physical restlessness too.
Uranus was the last of the planets to station direct, meaning that until May, all planets are now in forward motion. So if you think life has been fast since January, buckle up because we are about to go full tilt into the future!&nbsp;

Aries
