In this permanent workshop, employees, new recruits and external students will be able to learn from master craftsmen - among them, Negretto, the oldest employee of the house - through theoretical and practical courses.
The training program, which will have 50 students per year, all guaranteed to find employment at Bottega Veneta at the end of the course, will be led by a community of five master artisans, defending the collective philosophy that has defined the company since its creation in 1966. Accademia Labor and Ingenium will also offer upskilling and reskilling programs to existing Bottega Veneta employees, as well as collaborations with regional partners to promote the creativity and dynamism of the Veneto region, and transmit the heritage of Made in Italy. &ldquo;The Labor and Ingenium Academy is a key strategic pillar for preserving Bottega Veneta&rsquo;s unique know-how,&rdquo; said Leo Rongone, CEO of Bottega Veneta. &ldquo;Exceptional craftsmanship and creativity are essential to our brand and the heritage of our home region, Veneto.&rdquo;
Courses at Accademia Labor and Ingenium began yesterday, with a tailor-made seven-week masterclass in partnership with the Universit&agrave; di Venezia: &ldquo;The artisanal creative process: training course in bag design and product development&rdquo;. This program includes prototyping and production of different bag shapes and finishes, as well as an overview of the luxury sector and the development of communication skills.
