Under the framework of the &quot;Gionate degli Autori&quot; of the Venice Film Festival 2023, the fashion house presented Stane — the 26th chapter of the Miu Miu Women&#39;s Tales series — and announced the new committee of prominent filmmakers who will direct the project towards a new era.

In order to show the contemporary vision of prominent filmmakers, the fashion house created <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/miu-miu-campagna-gigi-bags-arcadie-wander" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Miu Miu</a> Women's Tales in 2011, a 26-part project that aims to investigate vanity and <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/barbie-hyper-femininity-ultimate-act-of-feminism-coquettecore-bimbocore" target="_blank" rel="noopener">femininity</a> in the 21st century.
For her latest short film &mdash; released on September 3 &mdash; the Croatian/American screenwriter and filmmaker Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovix presented Stane, which touches on themes from the director's universe, but which are also present in society: the family frictions that exist between immigrant generations; dishonor between the genders; the sacrifices women make to maintain status in society; among many others.
The film tells the story of a Croatian family looking for luck in the city of New Jersey like many other immigrants; fulfill the famous &ldquo;American dream&rdquo;. The protagonist, Stane, faces multiple problems when inheriting her father's family business, as she must deal with what it means to receive a company that was under the power of a man, at the same time that she is cheated on by her husband.

Among the team are: Ava DuVernay, director of Women's Tales #5; the renowned actress Maffie Gyllenhaal; and the two-time Oscar winner, designer and producer Catherine Martin, who will be accompanied by the founding committee (Miuccia Prada and Verde Visconti).

He hopes to include new creators and viewers; generate greater visibility beyond the world of fashion; and rethink its narrative for the future. &rdquo;Cinema has been a longtime passion of mine and has also been an important pillar of my upbringing. With Tales we have created a platform for talented female directors: through her gaze we have opened a conversation about the world of femininity and vanity and what it means today.
