From 7 April to 31 July the first Dolce&amp;Gabbana exhibition curated by Florence Müller will be on display at Palazzo Reale.

&laquo;We asked ourselves if this exhibition really represented us, if our message reached straight to the heart&raquo; say Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana referring to the new travelling project 'From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&amp;Gabbana' which tells the story of their <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/fashion-trends-from-2024-spring-summer-haute-couture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Haute Couture</a>, &laquo; Only one thing was never questioned: the first stop was to be at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. We didn't want it to be the classic fashion exhibition, full of clothes placed on soulless mannequins. We don't see them just as pieces of fabric, but as real means of expression."

Florence M&uuml;ller - director of the UFAC at the Mus&eacute;e des Arts D&eacute;coratifs in <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/art/best-paris-museums-to-visit-culture-exhibits-things-to-do-in-paris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris</a> and curator of fashion and textile art at the Denver Art Museum - has studied an exhibition itinerary that highlights the cultural references that inspired the work of the stylists divided into ten thematic rooms: Handmade, The art and mastery of glass, The Leopard, Devotion, Tailoring. Ornaments and Volumes, Dressing up architecture and painting, Sicilian traditions, White Baroque, Divinities in dreams, Opera. &laquo;We managed to transfer the value of the handmade by incorporating images and interactive elements that illustrate the attention to detail and the collaboration between stylists and artisans for the Haute Couture, Haute Couture and Haute Joaillerie collections&raquo; says M&uuml;ller.

&laquo;The installed works were chosen for their ability to link to the architectural elements of the building&raquo; explains Florence M&uuml;ller, &laquo;The exhibition opens with a series of video and digital art works commissioned from Felice Limosani, Obvious Art, Alberto Maria Colombo, Quayola, Vittorio Bonapace and Catelloo. In the 'Il Fatto a Mano' section there are self-portraits by the New York artist Anh Duong in which she wears Haute Couture clothes. Among the symbolic creations of the exhibition, the garments from the Alta Sartoria collection presented in Marzamemi in 2022 will also be exhibited: jeweled corsets combined with jeans inspired by figures linked to the legends of the port near Syracuse, or the dress with crinoline adorned with leopards that evoke the interiors of Palazzo Gangi in Sicily, where Luchino Visconti's "The Leopard" was filmed in 1963. Visitors will be able to discover manufacturing techniques that respect the tradition of ancient crafts, but also reinterpretations that move away from the original contexts. Today the international fashion scene is very dense and full of personal interpretations, while <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/dolce-gabbana-autumn-winter-show-mfw-2024-25-photos-images-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dolce&amp;Gabbana</a>'s style has a recognizable image that remains anchored to the Italian identity."
