It's surprising, but only to a certain extent, to find the perfect synthesis of this spirit not on the shores of the Amalfi Coast, but in Ibiza, specifically in the enclave of Cala Es Cal&oacute; de S'Alga , on the eastern coast of Santa Eul&agrave;ria.
Here stands the Hotel Mongibello , a project whose very name proclaims its cultured literary roots. "The hotel's name comes from the fictional Italian coastal village invented by writer Patricia Highsmith in her famous novel 'The Talented Mr. Ripley,'" explains Diego Calvo , CEO and founder of Concept Hotel Group . "We registered this name in 2023 and opened, and this summer is our fourth season. Over the winter, we worked on a major brand upgrade to reach 5 stars. The hotel already had the potential to achieve that, but it lacked some amenities that we are now introducing."

The cultural and aesthetic operation behind the Mongibello goes far beyond simple hospitality. It is, rather, a true visual curation. The hotel's spaces have quickly become a natural setting for the fashion system and contemporary pop culture. "An important part of the project was to connect the concept of 1960s Italy with Ibiza," explains the founder. "We created a small tribute book to the island, selecting 32 personalities who have left their mark on its history. Among them is Ricardo Urgell, founder of the Pacha group, and DJ Pippi, longtime resident of Pacha's Funky Room and now resident here. Each room features a character portrayed in moments of pleasure and freedom."

"I really miss the Ibiza nightlife community, which is why we're about to open this club at the end of June with a program from Thursday to Saturday, and probably some Sundays as well. "And then there's a new hotel; we'll start construction in October, and it'll be called Acapulco Amor. It will be inspired by the atmosphere of the Pacific and Acapulco. I was there recently to gather ideas: it will have a very Mexican and Pacific soul, but filtered through that glamorous imagery of the years when Hollywood stars went to Acapulco to enjoy life."
